Description

Gone with the Road is a dimensional work by Mohammad Mahdi Zulfiqari, which is created with wood and metal.

Woods represent memories. Talking to the last survivors; Carving regrets on wood; a visual work by Mohammad Mahdi Zulfiqari.

This work of art is actually a conversation between the artist and the wood of a truck loading them; the truck that his father used to drive during his adolescence. Now the father is dead, the car is old and the memories are dusty. But the artist still wants to have a conversation, and that’s why he put the sticks in the conversation. The old wood of the truck are now the artist’s medium; His canvas to talk. Words that never had the chance to be said to the father, now sit on the old logs of his truck.
