Description
From Kuf to Kufi is a calligraphy-painting by Masoud Safar with the dimensions 120×90 cm which is created with combined method on canvas.
Kufi is an Islamic script that is attributed to the city of Kufa and is said to have been formed and developed there. After the third century of the Hijri calendar, with the emergence of Naskh and other innovative scripts, the Kufi script gradually faded. after the fifth century, it was more or less demolished and was mostly used decoratively. Decorative Kufi script, unlike the simple and written type which is subject to certain principles and rules in writing letters, does not have any specific rules and completely changes the shape of the letters.
