A narrative of separation and distance; Traveling to distant lands and passing the ocean of separation. Separating and leaving familiar life, and joining and rebuilding life. Living on both sides of geographical map; breaking into two parts; half on this side and the other half on the other side. This is Maryam Modi’s story of an event called migration. This artwork is also a display of Iranian nomads’ handicrafts; nomads who are constantly traveling; in a perpetual migration.
