Description
The way to the sky is Shirin Babazadeh’s painting, which is inspired by a painting “Iskander and seven wise men” by Kamaluddin Behzad, an Iranian painter of the 9th century. The way to the sky is created with oil paint on canvas and its dimensions are 120 x 80 cm.
This painting is a representation of the cosmological opposition of male and female elements. A man is trapped in a bubble of mindset based on wisdom. Argument and logic have limited the world in front of him although the woman is a pure manifestation.
The world appeared as feminine elements, and masculine mindset has lost its sight. Happiness is in the essence of woman creation, and wisdom and thought are an introduction of suffer; the result of masculine mindset.
To the eyes of the artist, this awareness is like women’s nature and differs from the knowledge and logic the male world has access to. Man tries to understand the wisdom behind system of existence that brings him confusion.
